Urban Desing, Apeldoorn / School Projects (Town planning) / Johanna Laaksonen

This is detailed town plan to show how the current industrial areas could be changed so that they would support the town and heighten up the recreation value of the canal.

Main idea is to give the space for people. Amount of parking places are in minimum (central location) and mainly parking is underground or under car decks.

Apeldoorn is marketing itself as a garden city and water is one of the main themes in the city. Because I wanted to continue this theme the two main elements used in this design are green and water.
