Structure Vision for Dutch region Apeldoorn-Deventer-Zutphen
Region is located in central Netherlands. It is home for approximately 325 500 people.
Nature is the main element of this region. Biggest unbroken forest area in the Netherlands is located just west side of the region. River IJssel’s, witch divides the region is important nature area and it belongs as well into Natura2000 areas.
The growth expectation is positive only for the city of Deventer. All the other municipalities in the region are loosing their inhabitants. Unemployment rate is higher on the region than the average rate in the Netherlands.
STRUCTURE VISION
Main goal is to heighten the attractiveness of the main three cities, by improving existing build up areas. New workplace areas will be build mainly on rural areas to ensure some incomes for rural municipalities and to have lower unemployment rate in the future.
Regional co-operation will be strengthen by intensifying public transportation inside the region.
